Hi, my name is Kathryn Davis and this is my blog. I hope to create a space where I/O Psychology insights are shared.
Most of my articles will have some theme of pop culture, movies, tv, etc. I am a huge nerd at heart. I spend most of my free time reading a good book or huddled over my computer playing a game. I actually grew up playing video games with my brother and then, never really stopped. I actually played on my undergraduate’s college Esports team for Call of Duty. I was one of the only females in the US to do so.
How did I get into I/O Psych?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people at work feel supported, valued, and able to thrive. Discovering Industrial and Organizational Psychology (what I got my master’s in) opened up a world where I could combine my love of problem solving, administrative work, and data analysis with my passion for employee wellbeing.
In my work as an HR administrator, I’ve learned I love turning ideas into practical solutions that help people feel better at work. I excel at making sense of messy processes, using data to drive decisions, and creating systems that make workplaces run smoother.
If you also care about building healthy, effective workplaces too, I’d love to connect with you. Please reach out! I’m always looking to build my knowledge.
